Deadpool: Film's plot, villains Ajax and Angel Dust's storyline teased by actors Gina Carano and Ed Skrein

Deadpool actors Gina Carano and Ed Skrein recently opened up about their villainous characters in the upcoming superhero movie and somewhat teased the origin of Deadpool.

Carano (Fast and Furious 6) and Skrein (Game Of Thrones) play Angel Dust and Ajax respectively and the actors told IGN in their latest interview that their characters turn Wade Wilson into Deadpool.

"The program that we run is very similar to Weapon X, in that we take terminally-ill soldiers and we give them superpowers," Skrein claimed. "Ajax and Angel Dust went through that process themselves and now we run the program and we're the people that changed Wade Wilson into Deadpool."

Carano also revealed that she and Skrein worked on Angel Dust's backstory together. "We decided Ajax kind of found her," Carano said. "Angel Dust will only listen to Ajax. I'm like a horse rearing to go and he pretty much has the reins." (via ComicBookMovie)

Meanwhile, in case fans are left a bit confused about the nature of Ajax and Angel Dust's relationship in the movie, they should know that it's intentionally designed that way.

"We really wanted people to not know whether we were Brother and Sister, lovers, whether it is a teacher-pupil situation almost like a pimp and prostitute situation, for want of a better word," said Skrein.

Deadpool hits theatres on 12 February 2016. The film stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/ Deadpool.
