Diamond Jubilee Window Unveiled as a Gift to The Queen
The Queen has been presented with a gift of a new Diamond Jubilee Window, which was a gift from the members of both Houses of Parliament to mark Queen Elizabeth's 60-year reign.
As Big Ben struck, the curtains were rolled back and the window was unveiled in all its glory
Artist John Reyntiens worked on another Windsor Castle window, after the fire there in 1992 and designed the fantastic three paned window using modern heraldic influences.
(SOUNDBITE) JOHN REYNTIENS, ARTIST WHO DESIGNED DIAMOND JUBILEE WINDOW SAYING:
''They are her majesty's coat of arms, a gift from the House of Commons, and the House of Lords. And it's to celebrate her day, her diamond jubilee. I'm the one who was very lucky enough to win the tender to be asked to produce that for the House of Westminster.''
