Disney releases Tron on PS4 and PC, delays Xbox launch
Disney has launched a video game of its action-packed movie Tron for PS4 and PC users while holding the Xbox launch until March.
The new game Tron Run/r (pronounced runner) is an action-adventure runner game similar to Temple Run, with many hurdles and exciting modes. Disney Interactive Studio, the publisher of the title, has done an excellent job of bringing the aesthetics of the movie and to enhance the thrill of this lightening fast running game; it has loaded the game with many combinations of cycles including the light cycle, suits, powerups and has added up to 32 levels of challenge.
Similar to the movie, the game includes running past circuits or against the wall, gliding, slipping through the rails and escaping attacks from enemies to reach the destination. It also features new music from EDM godfather Giorgio Moroder and Raney Shockne and remixes by Autechre, Bibio, Joywave and more.
"Hone your DISC and CYCLE skills on the 32 included levels, and then challenge your friends to the grueling STREAM program that throws endless combinations of modes and levels at you until you crash - how long can you survive?" says the description on Steam Page.
The game is available for $20 (€17.9, £13.9) on PSN and Stream. It was due to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on 16 February, however, according to the description page on the Xbox Store, the game will be made available only in March.
Earlier in 2010, Disney Interactive Studios had released a video game, Tron: Evolution, for the film Tron: Legacy on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable and Xbox 360.
