DNA Tests Prove Beyonce Has Another Sister: Mathew Knowles 'Fathered Child With Lingerie Model'
It looks like Beyoncé may have an extra name on her Christmas list this year after DNA tests allegedly proved that her father Mathew Knowles fathered another daughter with a former lingerie model.
TaQoya Branscomb filed a paternity suit in Texas on 30 May, claiming that the music manager impregnated her in 2010 following a fling.
According to the court documents obtained by TMZ the 30-year-old demanded a paternity test as well as child support and money for her attorney's fees.
TMZ reports that it has now been confirmed that Knowles is the biological father of her four-year-old daughter, his second 'lovechild'.
Back in 2010, the 62-year-old acknowledged that he had a baby with actress Alexsandra Wright. News of the affair led to Beyoncé's mother Tina Knowles filling for divorce after 31 years of marriage.
In the wake of the scandal, Beyoncé ended her professional relationship with her father, although she insisted that their personal relationship remained full of love.
"I needed a break, I needed my dad," she said in her Life is But a Dream documentary in 2013. "I had to let go."
Although Knowles was initially ordered to pay Wright $12,000 (£7,350) a month in child support, that figure was reduced to $2,485 a month by a judge after he claimed his career had taken a nose dive following his dismissal as Beyoncé's manager.
In an interview with Inside Edition, Wright claimed Knowles had never met his son and even wanted Beyoncé and Jay Z to raise their baby.
"You've seen more of my son than he has," she told Inside Edition's Jim Moret.
"I tried everything to not have it public, but unfortunately that's just not the way that Mathew chose to deal with this."
Knowles is head of Music World Entertainment under Columbia Records, which has released albums by Beyoncé, sister Solange Knowles, Sunshine Anderson and others.
He still manages several gospel acts including Grammy-winner Le'Andria Johnson.
