Doctor Strange: Benedict Cumberbatch visits New York comic book store in full costume

What does the Master of Mystic Arts do when he wants to take a break from work? Perhaps, visit a comic book store in New York!
Filming for Doctor Strange has kick-started in New York City and cast of the movie were spotted around town on 3 April. However, fans were in for a treat, when lead actor Benedict Cumberbatch decided to take a break from the sets and visited a comic book store on 32<sup>nd Street.
The ultimate moment for fans at the store was when the actor showed up in his red and dark blue Doctor Strange costume. "So, the Doctor just came in for a quick visit," JHU Comic Books posted on social media, alongside a photograph of the actor with the store's manager.

Still wearing makeup, the Sherlock star also posed with a Doctor Strange comic book. "One never knows when the Master of the Mystic Arts will stop by!" Marvel Entertainment captioned the photograph.

The film's director Scott Derrickson tagged along with Cumberbatch on the trip and posed with the comic book about the Sorcerer Supreme.

While most of the film is set in London, many of the action scenes take place in New York and images and videos of the Big Apple street scenes being shot were quick to make their way online. Earlier images show Doctor Strange along with Baron Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) rushing to the rescue of Wong (Benedict Wong) who is lying injured on the pavement.

Hannibal's Mads Mikkelsen was also spotted on set while sporting metallic cracked eye make-up and a silver ponytail.

The film which also features Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, Michael Stuhlbarg as Nicodemus West, along with Rachel McAdams is set to release on 28 October in the UK and 4 November in the US.
