Dwayne Johnson's first look from Fast and Furious 8 as Agent Hobbs revealed
Actor Dwayne Johnson just gave fans a glimpse of his Agent Hobbs style in a new Instagram photo revealing the first look of his character in Fast and Furious 8. Featuring an extremely rough and tough look, the wrestler-turned-actor, promised "dangerous" and "twisted" elements of his character in the upcoming Fast 8 movie.
Better known as The Rock, Johnson took to his Instagram account to post a wordy message along with the first look of his character Hobbs from Fast 8.
"When you strip a man of all he has. All that's important to him. You force him to return to his roots.. and sometimes that's a very dangerous and twisted place," he shared.
Speaking about how he plans to portray the fan-favourite Hobbs in the latest instalment of the Fast and Furious movies, he writes: "If I was going to return for another FAST & FURIOUS I wanted to come in and disrupt the franchise in a cool way that got fans fired up and their blood pumping to see a new version of Hobbs and his "Daddy's gotta go to work" mentality..."
The character of Hobbs, who is a government agent and a part of Vin Diesel played Dominic Toretto's crew, was introduced in Fast Five in 2011. Since then, the hunky character has evolved to become an integral part of team Fast and an instant favourite among the audience as well. Earlier, IBTimes UK had reported about Johnson's producer partner Hiram Garcia hinting a Fast and Furious spinoff centred on Hobbs; in the recent Instagram post, the 44-year-old actor also refers to the possible spinoff.
He writes: "Maybe it's a spinoff movie. Maybe it's more #FF movies. Or hell maybe Hobbs just gets on his motorcycle and rides off into the sunset never to be seen again."
Meanwhile, the filming for Fast 8 is in full swing with F Gary Gray helming the movie. Other than Johnson, the star-studded cast of Fast 8 includes Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Charlize Theron. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on 14 April, 2017.
