The second anniversary of the overthrowing of Hosni Mubarak should see wild celebrations in Tahrir Square in Egypt not protests and violence as shown here, against the democratically elected President Mohammed Mursi.

But for anti Mursi protestors this seemed a perfect opportunity to show their displeasure at the leader who they say has betrayed the revolution. Accusing Mursi of being autocratic, and driving through a new constitution which they say gives him 'pharaoh like powers ',that are weighed in favour of Islamists and does not sufficiently protect the rights of women or Christians. Mursi is also accused of plunging the country into deeper economic crisis. A claim, which Mursi denies.

There are also plans for countrywide protests today in other Egyptian cities. And no doubt the protestors may be thinking to themselves, here's the new boss, same as the old boss. What happened to viva la Revolution?
