Overview
After winning the Ashes 3-2, England will be hoping they can beat Australia in the only T20 tie. Both the captains who led in the Test series are not part of the shorter format of the game.
Michael Clark has announced his retirement from international cricket and under the guidance of Steven Smith, Australia will be hoping to seal a victory over the Three Lions in Cardiff. The visitors played a One Day International (ODI) against Ireland on 27 August at the Civil Service Cricket Club, Stormont, Belfast. Australia sealed a 23-run victory by the Duckworth-Lewis Method.
Smith's side will be looking for a victory in the T20 tie, which will give them a much-needed boost for the upcoming five-match ODI series starting on 3 September. However, it will be a tough task to face a new-look English side in their own backyard.
