Overview
England come into the fixture after losing the first Group 1 fixture against West Indies in Mumbai. The Three Lions were made to bat first and they managed to score 182 for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.
In reply, West Indies lost Johnson Charles in the first over and had a good start as they were looking to defend the total. Marlon Samuels' 37 gave Darren Sammy's side the much needed momentum.
After his dismissal, it was Chris Gayle who took centre stage and after that it was just one-way traffic. The left-handed batsman scored an unbeaten century, which included 11 sixes, helping West Indies seal an easy victory by six wickets.
South Africa defeated host nation India during the warm-up fixture. They have a balanced side with power hitters and the list includes captain Faf du Plessis (c), AB de Villiers and David Miler, who are capable of changing the course of the game in no time. It should be seen what plan the England bowlers come up with when they face the Proteas.
