Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling celebrate birth of baby girl Amada Lee
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling welcomed a new addition to their family in the form of a second baby girl. According to reports, the celebrity couple have decided to name their new bundle of joy Amada Lee.
According to TMZ, which managed to get its hands on a copy of the official birth certificate, the youngest Gosling was born on 29 April at the Providence St John's Health Center in Santa Monica but the couple opted to keep their good news a secret.
Amada is Mendes (42) and Gosling's (35) second daughter. They already have a 20-month girl with a very similar name, Esmeralda Amada. The Hitch actress had explained the meaning behind the name Amada back in 2014 after the birth of her first daughter. "Amada was my grandmother's name. It means 'beloved' in Spanish," she told digital magazine The Violet Files.
The extremely private couple, who started dating back in 2011, have managed to keep both their pregnancies secret for the most part, with one insider telling People magazine that Mendes "just hasn't ever wanted anyone beyond her close friends and family knowing more than they had to. And Ryan is certainly private and always has been."
The duo have kept their daughter Esmeralda out of the spotlight as well but have spoken out about how happy they are to be parents. Gosling previously mentioned being "madly in love" with his daughter and a source informed that Mendes has "never been happier" and that "she and Ryan are just in awe of this beautiful person they created. It's a really special time for them".
