Evasi0n7 1.0.1 Update Released: How to Jailbreak iOS 7 Untethered on iPhone, iPad, iPad mini and iPod Touch [VIDEO GUIDE]
Evasi0n7 1.0.1 update released without TaiG package for iDevices running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.4
The Evad3rs have just released their first update for Evasi0n7, the iOS 7 jailbreak tool for Windows and Mac. The new jailbreak update touted as the 1.0.1 release removes the controversial TaiG app package from the evasi0n installer. It is also expected to fix a few bugs and issues found in the previous evasi0n7 v1.0 release.
Earlier, the jailbreak community had expressed concern over piracy and privacy issues with TaiG App Store, as the new evasi0n jailbreak released with a bundled TaiG package. Though the default installation of TaiG package had been disabled with evasi0n installer, one could optionally install the pirated Cydia software and cracked apps via TaiG by selecting Chinese as the primary language in settings.
As iDownloadBlog reports, Geohot had earlier confirmed that the jailbreak was safe for use and contained nothing malicious. Nevertheless, it seems Pod2g and his team of evad3rs have chosen a safer path to counter the piracy threat with TaiG App Store.
Here is what Pod2g tweeted on the eve of Christmas:
"We have heard the community. Evasi0n 1.0.1 is available on http://evasi0n.con. TaiG has been removed from the package. Merry Christmas!"
Pod2g further states that more updates for evasi0n7 jailbreak will be coming soon, especially the compatibility issue with the iPad 2.
Those who have already jailbroken their device successfully on iOS 7 can skip installing this jailbreak update. However, those who are facing boot loop issues and other bugs with the evasi0n7 version 1.0 may try the latest version to check if it fixes the problem.
