Fallout 4, which has been released to loyalists owning Xbox One and PS4 consoles, lets gamers obtain services of multiple companions in order to navigate through the game in a hassle-free manner. Gamers can initiate romance with companions and obtain additional perks that should come in handy while going through the rigors of any mission.

How to initiate romance with companions in Fallout 4

Step 1: Find the companion, best suited for your game needs, from the list above.

Step 2: Grab attention of companion(s) by resorting to doing what they like. These specific activities will automatically be informed to gamers, by the game's AI. The AI also conveys if a companion likes the way a specific task is accomplished. Tune your actions to suit and sync with that of your companion's.

Step 3: Once you have grabbed the attention of your companion in Step 2, obtain all background details about your partner (s). Begin flirting, until affinity increases. After a certain point, an option that lets you begin a romantic relationship is unlocked.

Step 4: Do remember to maintain the highest level of charisma within your companion. This can be achieved by collecting and wearing the best clothes on offer while the game progresses.

Step 5: Take romantic rejection sportively. Initiate romantic encounters repeatedly, till your in-game companion is ready for a relationship.

Step 6: Enter into a committed relationship. This unlocks a specific bonus initiative, termed "Lover's Embrace", using which you can obtain +15% additional XP for a limited period of time.

Step 7: Make a note of all likes/dislikes of your companion. This should come in handy and thereby enable you to unlock more bonuses.

Do remember that you can also initiate same-sex relationships with your companion. It is not possible to initiate romantic encounters/relationship with certain companions. These include Deacon and Dogmeat.
