Fans of the hit Harry Potter series will get their Christmas present early this year. Warner Bros has announced through social media that the first glimpse of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be revealed on 15 December.
A tweet on the official Fantastic Beasts Twitter account reads:
Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne plays the lead role of magizoologist Newt Scamander in the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling. The film is being directed by David Yates, who helmed the last four Harry Potter blockbusters.
According to the official plot summary: "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident... were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds."
