Father's Day 2015: Michelle Obama, Kim Kardashian and Blake Lively pay tribute to their loved ones
Over the Father's Day weekend (21 June), a plethora of famous faces took to their personal Instagram accounts to pay tribute to the fathers in their lives. The likes of Kim Kardashian, Blake Lively and even Michelle Obama chose to thank their respective husbands with touching comments about their families.
Names such as John Legend and Gwyneth Paltrow followed in Kylie and Kendall Jenner's footsteps by sharing throwback images of themselves and their own parents wishing them a happy day.
Other celebrities were the fathers themselves. Chris Brown, Pixels actor Josh Gad, and McBusted's Tom Fletcher all posted photographs showing them spending the day with their children.
IBTimes UK takes a look at some of the touching posts from Father's Day 2015 that graced those hugely followed social media pages over the weekend...
Barack Obama
Posting from Venice, Italy, where her and her two daughters, Malia and Sasha, were visiting soldiers and their families stationed in the country, First Lady Michelle Obama shared an old picture of a shirtless President Of The United States, Barack Obama, and their children. She captioned the image: "Thinking today and every day about the father of these two. Happy Father's Day! -mo"
David Beckham
David Beckham also posted a vintage image to commemorate Father's Day but his photograph was of him and his own father, Ted Beckham. Accompanying the picture was a thanks to his parent for "all [his] support". He then went on to wish all of the fathers around the world "an amazing day."
Justin Timberlake
Justin Timberlake celebrated his first Father's Day with his wife Jessica Biel, having only welcomed their son Silas into the world two months ago. The Suit & Tie singer labelled himself as "the newest member of the Daddy Fraternity," whilst also wishing "ALL of the Dads out there" a Happy Father's Day, alongside the sweet image.
Ryan Reynolds
Another famous face celebrating their first Father's Day was Ryan Reynolds, whose picture was shared by wife Blake Lively on her own account. The snap showed Reynolds looking very happy whilst holding their daughter James in a body-harness. Lively captioned the post: "Happy Fathers Day!!! ...@vancityreynolds Since the day our baby was born, I've felt so strongly in my heart that you were most likely the father. #ILoveYouSoMuchItsSilly"
Ozzy Osbourne
Television presenter Kelly Osbourne stated that she was "one of the luckiest girls in the world" when sharing several throwback images of herself and father, Ozzy Osbourne. The 30-year-old went on to call her father her best friend and hero.
Prince Charles
Even the Royal Family's official Instagram shared in the Father's Day tributes, but this time with a higher cause than just celebrating the day. The account announced that both Prince William and Prince Harry along with their father Prince Charles wanted "people to post photos of their father and son moment to help raise awareness of male cancer."
This request was in association with the #fatherandsonday campaign which "also supports robotic surgery techniques at The Royal Marsden - which The Duke, as Patron of the Hospital, saw for himself in 2013."
Jamie Oliver
Jamie Oliver took things way back when he shared a photograph of himself when he was much younger, spending time with his father. "Happy Father's Day Dad.." he stated alongside the black-and-white image. "The best dad ever big love and have a nice day @trevoroliver x x xxxxxx"
Kanye West
Reality star Kim Kardashian shared a number of posts about Father's Day on Instagram, remembering her late father Robert Kardashian with throwback photographs, as well as voicing her love of husband and father of their daughter, Kanye West.
She captioned the image of rapper West with a touching tribute which read: "I'm so lucky to be married to a man who is so in love with his daughter, your bond is so irreplaceable! Thank you for being such a good dad! We love and appreciate you so much! We're so blessed to have you!"
The 34-year-old went on to post another snap of West and daughter North, revealing for the first time that the second child the two are expecting together will be a son.
Tom Fletcher
Known for his cute posts revolving around his son Buzz, McBusted member Tom Fletcher wished a "Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there," alongside an image of him holding his card to his face whilst his son looks on in the background.
Amanda Seyfried
Les Misérables actress Amanda Seyfried posted a vintage photograph of herself and her family simply wishing her pharmacist father, Jack a "happy father's day."
Josh Gad
Frozen voice actor, Josh Gad shared an image of his two daughters Ava and Isabella playing. Sweetly captioning the candid photo: "The greatest gift in the world is to be able to celebrate #fathersday with nuggets like these."
Gwyneth Paltrow
Gwyneth Paltrow shared an old personal photograph of herself and her father on the day, suggesting that merely saying "I miss you" in regards to her parent "is an understatement" and that he was both her father and her "daddy".
The actress also posted an image of Chris Martin and their daughter Apple, with the caption: "Happy Father's Day to you, CAJM. Here is to all the engaged and present fathers, you create a backbone for society. We honor you all today "
Chris Brown
Sharing his first Father's Day with his one-year-old daughter, Chris Brown posted an image of himself having fun with Royalty at a seemingly private bowling alley. He later shared photographs of him celebrating by throwing a birthday party for Royalty, in which she can be seen riding on a Shetland pony dressed up like a unicorn and opening lots of gifts.
The new parent captioned the first image of the day with the admission that his daughter has "changed his life," along with the hashtag "GLAD2BEHERDAD"
Miley Cyrus
Pop star Miley Cyrus labelled her father, Billy Ray Cyrus as the "Best Dad Ever" over Instagram on Sunday.
John Legend
Like so many other celebrities on the day, singer John Legend shared a photograph of himself and his family when he was younger. He captioned the image: "Happy Father's Day to my awesome dad! @popz_topz"
