England will take on Costa Rica in a Group D clash of the 2014 Fifa World Cup at Estadio Mineirao, Belo Horizonte on Tuesday.
Where to Watch Live
Kick-off is set for 5pm BST. Live coverage is on ITV1 and UTV. Radio commentary of the game will be available on BBC Radio 5 Live.
Overview
England are already out of the World Cup after losing their first two games against Italy and Uruguay. Claudio Marchisio and Mario Balotelli's two goals saw the Azzurris register a crucial victory for Italy against the Three Lions in the first game.
In their last fixture, Liverpool star Luis Suarez returned from injury for Uruguay. The 27-year-old star headed first for the South American nation before Manchester United's Wayne Rooney equalised for Roy Hodgson's side. However a late strike from Suarez saw England suffer their second defeat in the tournament.
Meanwhile, Costa Rica come into this crucial fixture after registering a narrow 1-0 victory over Italy. Bryan Ruiz's brilliant header just before the break was the difference between the two sides as the victory has them sit on top of Group D with six points after two games.
Their victory also ended England's hope of progressing to the next stage of the summer event in Brazil. The game on Tuesday in Belo Horizonte is of no significance for the Three Lions, while Costa Rica would be hoping to maintain their unbeaten run and finish the group on top of the table.
What Managers Say
Roy Hodgson (England): "I'm going to be picking the team with a view that all the players who are with us get some minutes on the field. I will be changing the team to give others a chance to show what they can do. It's not purely about planning for the future and it's not purely sentiment."
Jorge Luis Pinto (Costa Rica): "Of course we want to win the next match now and I must ask my players to keep calm and play just as well. We knew that we could make history for Costa Rica and we have done that. That's what I told my players - let's change history. It was a beautiful match and the people of Costa Rica deserve this day. They have supported the team and me, and this was for them."
