Fifty Shades Darker cast rumours: Will Henry Cavill play Anastasia's boss Jack Hyde in the erotic movie?
Fifty Shades Darker is yet to get a director to helm the erotic sequel after Sam Taylor-Johnson left the blockbuster franchise.
Though the production of the movie is yet to begin, the internet is abuzz with cast rumours. Speculation is high that the Man Of Steel star Henry Cavill may play the role of Jack Hyde, Anastatia Steele's boss in the BDSM themed sequel.
Movie News Guide thinks that the 32-year-old British actor will join the Fifty Shades cast along with Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who are portraying the role of the billionaire Christian Grey and the naive college student Ana respectively.
In the bestselling novel by EL James, Anastasia rejects Christian's offer to work as an intern with the Grey empire.
She joins a publication house when she moves to Seattle from Vancouver after completing her graduation. But the fresh charm on her face attracts her boss Jack Hyde towards her.
The second part of the novel talks about Ana's struggle to stay away from her sexually obsessed boss while dealing with her billionaire boyfriend who is obsessed with a dominant-submissive relationship.
Christian, will eventually buy the publication house as he cannot tolerate his naive girlfriend being tormented by her boss Jack.
The movie producers have already revealed that the second movie of the franchise will be more like a thriller than a romantic movie.
Cavill, who plays the superhero in Marvel's Man Of Steel, with his serious look, can do justice to the role of the stalker boss who vows revenge after Christian fires him from Seattle Independent Publishing and ruins his career forever.
According to the film's IMDB page, the upcoming sequel will revolve around Christian's struggle as he wrestles with his inner demons, even as Anastasia confronts the anger and envy of the women who came before her.
Fifty Shades Darker is set to premiere on 10 February 2017. The third and final sequel Fifty Shades Freed will premiere around Valentine's Day on 9 February 2018.
