There are a few points to remember before you go ahead and upgrade your smartphone with the initial builds of CM13:

  • Those who are upgrading from unofficial builds of earlier CyanogenMod ROMs are advised to perform a full data wipe, before installing the official nightlies as there is no guarantee of upgrade compatibility.
  • Besides, if you are looking to do a dirty flash from CM12.1 without using "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" feature, you must update third-party add-ons such as Xposed or OpenGapps, soon after installing the CM13 ROM.
  • Finally, a specific set of users who are upgrading their device from CM12.1 YOG4P or CM12.1 YOG7D are recommended to skip the nightly releases and wait for the Snapshot releases which are more stable and bug-free.

Interested users may go ahead and download the newest nightly builds of CM13 ROM via official CyanogenMod download pagein order to get a first-hand experience of Android 6.0 on their favourite smartphones.
