The Flash cancelled? Report claims season two not yet officially renewed by The CW

After a thrilling first-half The Flash has managed to gathered a massive fan-base, but the show is yet to be officially renewed for the second season.

Spoiler TV earlier reported: "The Flash and Jane the Virgin have both been renewed for second seasons by The CW. This was confirmed to us by CW44. We'll update with a press release when we get one."

But later the website retracted the statement saying, "Looks like someone at the CW44 might be getting a talking to from someone higher up at the CW. We've just been contacted by our CW press representative and been told that both shows have not been officially renewed yet."

The Arrow spinoff series debuted to 4.5 million viewers, with a 1.8 rating, making it the highest-rated series premiere on The CW in six years.

The midseason finale of the show introduced fans to The Reverse Flash and left fans with several questions.

The Flash episode 10 titled Revenge of the Rogues will air on 20 January, 2015.<sup>

The episode will see Barry struggling to train his speed to beat The Reverse Flash. Meanwhile, his old nemesis Captain Cold, returns to Central City with the help of a new villain, Heat Wave.

They kidnap Caitlin and Barry is forced to save her or let her die.
