Flash flooding hits parts of the UK for a second day in a row
Flash flooding once again hit parts of the UK after torrential downpours on 8 June, as a month's rain fell in one day.
London and the Midlands were severely affected, with three children having to be rescued from a roof a car in North Harrow, London. Speaking to the BBC the children's father, Mohammad Garibdost, said that his car became trapped behind several cars in the flood water.
"I was behind them so I couldn't move. I had to take my kids from the window because the water was coming up to the seats inside the car, so now we're stuck here, we can't go anywhere until the recovery comes and helps us," he said.
The video shows severe flooding on Edgware Road in northwest London, which stopped cars and caused traffic jams. The London Fire Brigade said that it took 32 flooding calls between 2pm and 4pm.
