The Flash season 2: Grant Gustin teases new villain and his role in Legends of Tomorrow ahead of Comic-Con 2015
The CW has announced the return date and premiere title for The Flash season 2 ahead of its Comic-Con 2015 appearance.
The season 2 of the hit superhero series premieres on Tuesday, 6 October. The premiere episode will be titled, The Man Who Saved Central City, which will pick up from the season 1 finale, where Barry is trying to close the worm hole and protect Central City.
The Flash star Grant Gustin has revealed that a new villain will be introduced in the first few episodes of season 2 itself.
"A really cool 'big bad' that's going to be revealed kind of immediately," Gustin said when asked about season 2 following his first Saturn Award.
Gustin had also said that the Scarlet Speedster will feature immediately in the the series titled, Legends of Tomorrow. According to Gustin, The Flash will have a big presence in the opening episodes of the Arrow-Flash spin-off show.
"I'm going to be a part of that right out of the gates as well," Gustin said. "I get to be Flash on three TV shows [Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow]. I was unemployed a year and a half ago, so that's pretty cool."
According to reports, the first trailer of the The Flash season 2 will be unveiled at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con, to be held in July.
Warner Bros Television & DC Entertainment have announced that fans will get a first look into the worlds of Arrow, The Flash and Gotham, plus a pilot screening of Supergirl and video presentations of DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Vixen at the convention.
Meanwhile, The Flash was awarded the best superhero adaptation TV show at the Saturn Awards last week.
