The Flash season 2: Harrison Wells returns in Fury Of Firestorm; 5 things to expect in episode 4
The STAR Labs team are in for a surprise in the upcoming episode of The Flash season 2 as Harrison Wells from Earth 2 uses the speed cannon built by Jay Garrick to cross over into Barry's world. Also, Dr Stein's health suddenly takes a turn for the worse, as we see him burst into first orange and then blue flames.
Here are a few things to expect in episode 4
1. The fourth episode is titled, Fury Of Firestorm, which will air on Tuesday, 27 October at 8pm EST on The CW.
2.The episode will introduce a new Firestorm into the fold after Robbie Amell's character died trying to close the wormhole over Central City in the season 1 finale. According to the synopsis, Barry and his team look for another Firestorm match for Dr Stein, and they meet Jefferson "Jax" Jackson (Franz Drameh) as the perfect match. However, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) has her reservations about whether Jax is the right match for Dr Stein.
3. The arrival ofHarrison Wells from Earth 2 to Star Labs is sure going to irritate the whole team, given the history between Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne and Team Flash. The new Wells character is played by Tom Cavanagh and is described as "arrogant."
Actor Grant Gustin and Cavanagh dished on the new version of Wells in an interview with ET Online. Gustin said, "He's less of a bad guy and more of a douchebag."
The actor added, "It's not Eobard Thawne, it's actually Harrison Wells. It's the actual guy that Barry always idolized and looked up to, but [he's] from a different world... Barry is wanting to trust him and he's actually, in a way, quicker to trust him than he was to trust Jay."
Cavanagh revealed that it was actually his idea to give Earth-2 Wells an egotistical makeover. "It wasn't written that way, but that's how I decided to do it."
The actor explained, "It just seemed to me to be a massive opportunity to turn the tables. With Eobard as Harrison last year, there was a certain intelligence and charm and a mannered way to him -- a thoughtfulness. I think the expectation [was] that this same person coming From Earth-Two would be like that and my thought was, 'Why?'"
"If he's a much more brusque, and arrogant, and generates conflict, than I think all the better for the show, and all the better for me to play," he said of his new character.
4. Barry and Patty (Shantel VanSanten) grow closer, after running into each other at the coffee shop umpteen times.
Shantel VanSanten dished that they will go out on a date in the upcoming episode and talks about their relationship dynamics in an interview with TV Line. "It's really light-hearted and fun, their relationship. Most women, if you ask, will say they want "a man who makes them laugh," and that was the first way they really connected after she totally geeked out on him and his forensics reports."
The actress added, "They connect through telling the same jokes and understanding each other, so moving forward there's a lot of that — a lot of nerdiness, a lot of scientific conversations. But she and Barry also work alongside each other on crime scenes, so solving things together will bring them closer, too."
5. Iris West recently found out from Joe that her mother is not dead, but she was an addict, who ran away when she was a kid. The synopsis for the upcoming upcoming episode states that, "Iris (Candice Patton) surprises Joe (Jesse L. Martin)". Maybe she will meet her mother Francine and even forgive her for abandoning her family?
For all answers keep watching The Flash season 2 which airs every Tuesday on The CW Network.
