Video showing a large gathering of sharks off the coast of Florida in Destin has become an internet hit gaining 10,000 plays on Vimeo in less than 24 hours. The video was taken by aerial photographer Cory Peterson and posted on Vimeo on 20 September.
The video shows hundreds of sharks swimming together underneath the aquamarine water. Peterson told Reuters that he was out fishing when he initially spotted the sharks and decided to launch his camera drone.
Peterson also said to Reuters that seeing sharks in the area was not unusual, but seeing such a large number was exceptional.
