Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent end bitter feud ahead of Manny Pacquiao fight
Boxing champ Floyd Mayweather and rapper 50 Cent have finally ended their ongoing and highly-publicised feud.
Following their major falling out in August 2014, the 39-year-old rapper has been pictured visiting Mayweather, 38, in Las Vegas as he trained for his upcoming fight against Manny Pacquiao.
50 shared a photo of himself posing with the boxer on Instagram, along with the caption: "THE original MONEY TEAM, you gotta love it."
The pair are said to have fallen out last summer when the In Da Club rapper mocked Mayweather's poor reading skills on Instagram.
Challenging the sporting champ to attempt the ALS Ice Bucket challenge, 50 said: "Floyd will you except [sic] my ALS/ESL CHALLENGE: I will donate $750k to a charity of your choice, If you can read a full page out of a Harry Potter book out loud without starting and stopping."
It was just the latest falling out between the friends who have had an on/off bromance for years. Speaking about his rocky friendship with 50, Mayweather told MLive.com in April 2014: "Just as a man, I respect him, I love him.
"There's a lot of my friends, a lot of my associates, that I don't speak to on a daily basis. That doesn't mean that I wish anything bad toward them. 50 Cent's a great guy, he's always invited into my gym. If his fighters want to come to my gym and work, they can come work in my gym also."
In September 2012, it appeared as though 50 had chosen sides when he reportedly started a boxing promoting company and signed Mayweather's rival Pacquiao as his first client.
The sports star's father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., has previously spoken on their frenemy-type relationship, telling Fox Sports 670 Las Vegas: "50 Cent seems like he's got a problem since Floyd left him. He's a [well] known singer and he's acting like a kid.
"He weighs over 100 pounds more than Floyd. Let him go up against Floyd... put that on video. Floyd would stop all that. Wouldn't be no more said."
In July 2014, 50 was also accused of trolling Mayweather on Instagram when the boxer's ex-girlfriend Shantel Jackson began dating rapper Nelly.
The Power producer is said to have written: "CHAMP I ain't gonna lie this m**********r bad. You need to start operation GET THE B***H BACK. Right now!!! Nelly put this up @floydmayweather DAMN da n***a really took your lady Champ."
As the world awaits the big fight on 2 May, 50 is getting his dollars in order as he told Power 105.1's Breakfast Club in March that he is betting $1.6m (£1m) on Mayweather winning.
