Football fan charged with pitch invasion after Derby County vs Nottingham Forest match
Football fan Joshua Gregory has been charged with running onto the pitch at the iPro Stadium following Derby County's heated match against Nottingham Forest.
Gregory, 23, of York Road, Chaddesden, in Derby, was arrested after allegedly running onto the pitch after the final whistle of the fixture on Saturday, 17 January.
The football fan was charged yesterday (26 January) with pitch encroachment under the Football Offences Act 1991 as well as a public order offence.
He has been bailed to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 3 February.
The incident happened after Nottingham Forest came from one goal down to defeat arch rivals Derby 2-1.
Ben Osborn's injury time winner sparked wild scenes amongst the Forest faithful as well as from manager Stuart Pearce, who had been under pressure following a bad run of form.
