Four men have been arrested over the gang rape of a 17-year-old girl in a woodland area in Slough.

Two men aged 33, and two men, aged 19, and 20, were arrested on Sunday. The two younger men remain in police custody while the older men have been bailed until August 3.

The girl was raped in some woods near to the Jubilee River on Friday.

She had met a group of men earlier that day at the junction of Church Street and Chalvey Road West and shopped at an off licence with one of them.

The pair walked down Spackmans Way towards a footpath and into some woods near to the Jubilee River where they were joined by four other men, who arrived at the location in a small silver car.

Detective Inspector Nicola Hurdley from Thames Valley Police said: "We are still speaking with the girl at this time to get a full picture of what has happened, but what we do know is that while she was in this wooded area she has been raped by several of the men.

"We have specially trained officers with her now, who are supporting her while we carry out our enquiries in the area.

"There will also be additional patrols by uniformed officers in and around the area, who will be on hand to discuss any concerns that people may have."

Anyone with information should contact the Force CID team at Slough via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 101.
