Friends is getting a Central Perk Lego set to celebrate its 25th anniversary
The Lego set will be available from September 1 online; all of the seven Friends cast are also made of Legos.
Fan favourite sitcom Friends, which ended in 2004, will celebrate its 25th anniversary on September 22. Danish toy company Lego decided to celebrate the team's success by designing a Lego set of the icon Central Perk coffee shop, along with all seven characters.
The Lego set is called Central Perk Lego. The set includes details of the particular coffee shop which ran for 10 seasons straight. Miniature Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston), Monica Geller (Courteney Cox), Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow), Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc), Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) and Gunther (James Michael Tyler) will be seen in action in the Lego coffee shop.
Aymeric Fievet of Normandy, France, has designed it. It includes 1079 pieces of Legos. Entertainment Tonight quoted Fievet saying, "The challenge was to visualize passages of the series to allow me to recreate the furniture and the characters in as much detail as possible."
The LEGO set will be available online on September 1 for $59.99. Lego has included things important details like Phoebe's guitar, the coffee machine, cookie jars, menu board, a performance stage and two TV studio light rigs.
