Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman seen fighting alongside men to save the world in first trailer
The movie opens in theatres in the US on 2 June 2017.
DC Comics has released the first trailer of Wonder Woman that introduces its most revered female superhero and actor Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, who plays her love interest. The video shows Gal Gadot's character Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman take to the battlefields of World War I with her magical lasso of truth after coming across Trevor – an American pilot - who crash lands on the island where she lives.
The video begins with the Amazonian princes watching over an unconscious Trevor. When he opens his eyes, she asks him: "You are a man?" To which, Trevor replies: "Yeah. Don't I look like one?"
"Have you never met a man before. What about your father," Trevor asks Wonder Woman in the next clip, while she treats his wounds he suffered from the plane crash. "I had no father," Wonder Woman says. "I was brought to life by Zeus."

"Wonder Woman' hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers...and her true destiny."
The cast of the movie includes Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Chris Pine is Steve Trevor, Robin Wright plays General Antiope, Connie Nielsen is Queen Hippolyta, Lucy Davis as Etta Candy, MMA fighter Madeleine Vall as the Amazonian warrior Egeria among others.
The movie releases in the US on 2 June 2017.
