Samsung has confirmed the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean upgrade service, which was suspended temporarily, has resumed for the Galaxy S3 users in the United Kingdom.

Currently the software update is not available except for selected Galaxy S3 users in the UK. It will arrive all parts across the country soon. Besides, the manufacturer has mentioned that the roll-out schedule will vary depending on the network operators.

"The fix for the issues with Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean 4.3 upgrade has begun rolling out to selected users in the UK, and will continue to do so. Specific upgrade schedules will vary by mobile operators. Please check your phone for the upgrade."

"We should like to say again that we are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and we assure you that we are doing all we can to get service back to normal," notes Samsung Mobiles UK on its official Facebook page.

The new Android 4.3 update with base firmware I9300XXUGMK6 brings an array of new features and improvements such as enhanced UI, new Camera mode, Galaxy Gear support and other performance improvements. But like the previous I9300XXUGMJ9, the new I9300XXUGMK6 Android 4.3 also does not have Samsung Knox security feature, which might come in the future firmware builds, reports Sammobile.

The Android 4.3 update is yet to make its way for all Galaxy S3 handsets, but rumour has it that the latest Android 4.4 KitKat is coming for the Galaxy handset. According to a leaked document from Samsung R&D, India, the Galaxy S3 expected to receive Android 4.4 sometime between March and April next year.
