Game Of Thrones season 7: Fans can 'read every plot point online' says actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
The Danish actor also shared his ideas about Jaime Lannister's death.
A recent massive plot leak from Game of Thrones season 7 broke the internet. Neither HBO nor the show creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, however, have confirmed the leaks. Along with the leaks, the internet was bombarded with fan theories discussing the fate of Cersei, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow.
But the confusion over whether the leaks and fan theories were real spoilers or not seems to have been sorted out. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister in the HBO magnum opus has teased that every plot point of the show available online. "If you go online you can definitely read every plot point that's going to happen. You can find the ending of Game of Thrones on the internet. It's there. But you wouldn't know. Of course, nobody really wants to know," he told the Observer.
The Danish actor is currently promoting his upcoming film Small Crimes, which is now streaming on Netflix. The film revolves around a disgraced former cop Joe (played by Coster-Waldau) who is looking for redemption.
The similarities between Joe and Jaime are remote, but there are some parallels between the characters. Jaime's affair with his twin sister Cersei has made him commit several crimes, and after his youngest son Tommen's suicide in season 6, fans are speculating that he may seek redemption and kill Cersei, who is now the queen of the Iron Throne.
The actor has previously weighed in on the fan theory that the Kingslayer may kill his partner to become the queenslayer. "I mean I don't think he — I'm just saying it's a valid theory. I can see it makes sense, it has a beautiful — it's a nice circle [that] they are born together in the womb and then he kills her at the end...It makes sense," he told Mashable.
Upon asked by the Observer about what kind of death he wants for Jaime, Coster-Waldau replied: "It has to be a dragon death. It's got to be the dragons that get him...Just fried. He has to burn. Has to," he said and added that season 3 may serve as a major hint for Jaime's death if it will ever happen in the rest two seasons of GoT.
"That scene in season 3 was a very important moment. The most important for Jaime, I think, was in that bath with Brienne. It was called 'Kissed by Fire,' that episode. Which is why I think Jaime should be killed by fire."
Game of Thrones season 7 will premiere on 16 July on HBO.
