Xbox One S: Microsoft announces August release date for 2TB slim console
Microsoft has announced that the version of its Xbox One S slim-line console with a 2TB hard drive will be released on Tuesday 2 August. Cheaper incarnations of the freshly-designed Xbox One with 500GB and 1TB hard drives will be released at a later, yet-to-be confirmed, date.
An announcement on the Xbox news wire warns that availability for the £349.99 console will be limited and that there is high demand. The new Xbox wireless controller that will be bundled with the console will also be released as a standalone product for £49.99 on the same day.
Batman: The Telltale Series gets episode one release date and gameplay trailer
The first episode of Batman: The Telltale Series will be released on 2 August on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, PS3, Xbox 360, iOS and Android. To celebrate the announcement, Telltale also released a first gameplay trailer for the anticipated adventure game.
Titled "Realm of Shadows", the premiere will be followed by a physical release of the game on 16 September (13 September outside of Europe) which will grant players access to the complete, five-episode season as and when new episodes are released.
New Pokémon Sun and Moon trailer reveals new monsters
With Pokémon Go fever sweeping the globe, it could be easy to forget that Pokémon Sun and Moon for Nintendo 3DS are mere months away. To remind fans, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have released a new trailer that introduces fresh faces to the Pokémon world as well as new features that could represent a big evolution for the series.
Alongside the two creatures revealed in a recent Coro Coro issue – the Pikachu-cosplayer Mimikkyu and the newly named bear/racoon-thing Bewear – the trailer (embedded below) gives us our first glimpse of several never-before-seen Pocket Monsters.
