Gangland London: Harrow gunman opens fire at Met Police officers in car
Man fired a shot at three officers in a marked police vehicle in Gladstone Way
A gunman opened fire at three Met Police officers in Harrow after a suspected drug dealer was arrested. Police were initially called at 00.39am today (14 July) to reports of a man seen in possession of a firearm in Byron Road, Harrow.
Officers attended and carried out a search of the area before arresting a man for possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. No firearm was found and he was taken to a north London police station.
Police remained in the area and a short while later a man fired a shot at three officers in a marked police vehicle in Gladstone Way. He fled the scene and enquires are under way to trace him. None of the officers were not injured.
The suspect is described as a black male wearing a grey hooded top and jeans. No arrests have been made and detectives from the Met's anti-gang unit – Trident and Area Crime Command – are investigating.
