Gavin Rossdale's recently released seventh album, Black and White Rainbows, reflects on his life after his divorce from Gwen Stefani. The couple were married for 13 years before getting a divorce in August 2016.
The Bush frontman opened up to Us Weekly about his new music and his life as a father. The 51-year-old said, "My album, Black and White Rainbows, that's a whole nice new start, new fresh life, new chapters. New beginnings."
Rossdale shares share three sons - Kingston, 10, Zuma, 8, and two-year-old Apollo, with Stefani.
Taking about his children, the singer revealed, "We listen to hip-hop radio [when we drive to school]. So when I made my new record, I had to make sure that I had songs that they want to sing along to. I do everything to impress my kids."
Rossdale revealed that he was also helping to teach his older sons, Kingston and Zuma, his trade.
Previously, Stefani opened up about her divorce with Rossdale. The Hollaback hitmaker, however, admitted that being married to the lead singer of Bush was "extra hard."
Stefani, who is currently dating country singer Blake Shelton, explained, "[Marriage] was the one thing I didn't want to fail at. People can say whatever they want to about me...and I don't get too affected. But I didn't want them to think I was a failure. There's nothing weird about how I felt. I had to work really hard at marriage, all the time, like everybody, but ours was extra hard, when you add that we're from different countries, both of us being in music, and celebrity."
