Overview

Defending Olympic champions Germany's unbeaten run at the 2016 Rio Olympics continued, drawing 4-4 with Argentina in their last game. The Germans who have already qualified for the knock-out stages are currently placed second in Group B, with 10 points from four games.

Midfielder Moritz Furste, considered one of the best midfielders in the world, has pulled the strings so far, providing that vital link between balance and attack. With five Olympic Gold medallists from London currently in the squad, the European giants are arguably the favourites to win their third successive gold at the summer games.

The Netherlands are having a brilliant tournament and, like the Germans, have remained unbeaten so far. The Dutch top the Group B standings with 12 points from four games. What has been impressive is that they have scored 17 goals while only conceding four.

Drag flick expert Mink van der Weerden continued his impressive form, scoring the winner against India in their last game. Van der Weerden has now scored seven goals in the last four games, all of them coming at crucial moments. He is in pole position to emerge as the player of the tournament.

The Dutch finished second behind Germany at the 2012 London Olympics, and will look at this game as a way to extract revenge.
