Ghana: Watch video of Accra floods that turned streets into rivers after just 6 hours of rain
A storm in Accra, Ghana's capital, caused the streets to flood after several hours of sustained rain on 9 June.
The video shows the impact of only six hours of heavy rainfall in the region of Asylum Down, in Greater Accra. Jeffery Ntoriankansah, who took the video, can be heard saying "It ain't even funny man, people losing their lives. It's crazy, it's crazy, and this is where you gotta live"
President John Dramani Mahama surveyed the impact of the rains on the capital, by riding around on a motorcycle. The president was reported to have driven through several different neighbourhoods on a motorbike without his usual convey of security detail.
