Girlfriend Says No to Marriage Proposal at Baseball Game [VIDEO]
A man was left to deal with shock and shame after he proposed to his girlfriend at a New Britain Rock Cats minor league game in Connecticut and she said no.
The incident took place last week when hopeless romantic David asked his girlfriend Jessica to marry him in front of the crowd.
Though there are speculations that the whole scene was staged, experts judging the couple's off microphone reactions believe that there are more chances the proposal was for real.
The video footage of the failed proposal shows the couple was standing on the on the field, answering the announcer when a hopeful David, who is believed to be working for the team, popped the question to Jessica on the microphone.
"Will you marry me Jessica?" David asked.
In response, a visibly shocked Jessica with her hands over her mouth can stepped back as she replied "David, I'm sorry, I can't."
Soon as Jessica rejected David's proposal, she ran out of the stadium as the commentator was left to say or do nothing but laugh.
"Sorry, I don't mean to laugh David, I don't think we've ever had this happen before," the commentator said on the microphone.
A dejected David too, ran out of the field immediately.
The video of the failed proposal, posted on Youtube, has been doing rounds on the internet with many viewers debating on whether the proposal was a hoax. There are others debating on Jessica's reaction, which left David embarrassed in front of the public.
"I was there, my first thought was that it was fake. But what would the point of that be?" one commentator wrote.
"Shoulda at least stuck with the "give me some time to think about it" excuse. I mean, ouch.....and it was on TV too!" wrote another.
This is certainly not the first time a marriage proposal at a game has been rejected. Check out the video of the latest rejection and a compilation of older proposals gone wrong video below:
