Glasgow lorry crash: York police investigate offensive 'trash' Facebook post
York police are investigating a local woman after she sent an "offensive" post on Facebook shortly after the Glasgow lorry crash, which killed six people on Monday 22 December.
The woman referred to the tragedy, in which a bin lorry crashed into pedestrians and a hotel in Glasgow's George Square, as "picking up trash", according to the police.
Six people lost their lives, while a further 10 were injured during the tragedy.
North Yorkshire police have said they are aware of the comment and will work alongside Police Scotland in investigating the matter.
A Sunderland teenager was arrested earlier this week under the Malicious Communications Act after he made comments about the crash on social media.
