The Good Wife Season 5 will air its finale titled 'A Weird Year' tonight and it promises to be a cliffhanger that will increase the drama quotient of the show.

Show creator Robert King claims Alicia is all set to take the most important decision of her life which will change the course of the series in the next season.

It's not a cliffhanger in that, 'Oh, which way is Alicia going to choose?' King told TVLine. "It's more a cliffhanger in that, 'Oh, NOW what does that mean? That's an interesting decision.' It's a cliffhanger of a new chapter opening in Alicia's life."

The current series of the CBS legal drama was more in the news for the premature death of Will Gardener, the prime character of the show.

Alicia and her governor husband Peter Florrick are going through a difficult wedding and both are looking for love outside their marriage.

Meanwhile, there were rumours that Alicia may find her soul mate in Finn Polmar but later TVGuide reported that Alicia (Julianna Marguiles) may fall in love with the show's latest entrant, Daniel Irwin (Nestor Carbonnell).

The finale will also see Diane Lockhart sensing the cunning aim of Louis Canning, who secretly plans to destroy Florrick/Agos and Diane. Meanwhile Diane will team up with David Lee to defeat Canning.

On an emotional note, the finale will be a game changer. The Wire suspects that Peter assuming that his wife and Finn are still sleeping together will try to make sexual advances towards his intern.

The official synopsis of The Good Wife Season 5 Finale reads:

"An open feed from a camera mistakenly left on after a teleconferenced deposition between the lawyers of Florrick/Agos and Lockhart/Gardner reveals a threat to the firm that Alicia and Cary never saw coming. Meanwhile, the fate of Lockhart/Gardner hangs in the balance as Louis Canning views for a larger role. Also, Alicia entrusts Zach's high school graduation party to Jackie and Veronica, on the fifth season finale of The Good Wife."
