Gotham stars Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin opt for vintage name for new baby girl
Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin celebrated the birth of their first child, a baby girl, on 2 March. The Gotham co-actors revealed their romance and the news about the pregnancy in September 2015.
The 37-year-old first-time dad and his 36-year-old girlfriend have opted to name their daughter Frances Laiz Setta Schenkkan. "Morena and Ben are so happy to welcome baby girl Frances Laiz Setta Schenkkan on March 2," reps Jennifer Allen and Rhett Usry confirmed to USA Today. "All are happy and healthy and appreciate the well-wishes."
This is Baccarin's second child. She has a two-year-old son Julian from her marriage to Austin Chick.
Fans of Gotham had suggested some names when they found out about the pregnancy. Some wanted the baby to be named Gotham while others recommended Damian, the name of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul's son.
McKenzie who plays James Gordon and his girlfriend who takes on the character of Dr Leslie Thompkins in the Batman prequel Fox crime drama were also shown as pregnant in the show.
