Grit and Glamour: Iconic portraits of famous faces go on sale
The Print Room's Grit and Glamour exhibition features portraits of stars of film, fashion and music.
A new online exhibition features classic portraits of famous faces from the world of cinema, rock'n'roll, theatre and fashion. The collection includes a number of notable photographs by Elliott Erwitt, Terence Donovan, Ormond Gigli, Patrick Lichfield and others.
The inaugural online exhibition from The Print Room is called Grit and Glamour. It showcases some of the greatest portraiture and fashion photography from 1953 until 2010. It includes iconic photos such as Terry O'Neill's famous photograph of Frank Sinatra with his bodyguards in Miami Beach in 1968, and Faye Dunaway the morning after her Oscar win in 1977. Also on show are portraits of famous musicians – including David Bowie, Amy Winehouse and the Rolling Stones – by photographers such as Mick Rock, Brian Duffy and Norman Seeff.
All the photos are for sale, and exhibition prints are available to view in person at Beetles+Huxley gallery in London on request. IBTimes UK presents a tiny selection of the images available – see them all at the dedicated exhibition website.
