Guess what Michael Weatherly misses the most about his NCIS character Tony Dinozzo?
Weatherly played NCIS agent Tony for 13 years before calling it quits.
Michael Weatherly is set to star as Dr Jason Bull in new CBS series called Bull, but the actor still misses a few things about his former NCIS character Tony DiNozzo. Weatherly played NCIS agent Tony for 13 years before calling it quits in NCIS season 13 finale.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, the actor was asked what would he miss about playing DiNozzo? Weatherly answered, "I am going to miss his irrepressive sense of humour and what i won't miss is wearing that gun. That was uncomfortable!"
The NCIS alum also spoke about working with Dr Phil and Paul Attanasio [executive producer]. "The world of Bull, which really comes from the great imagination of Paul Attanasio who created shows like House, and rogue movies like Donnie Brasco," the 48-year-old actor said.
He continued, "Working with Phil McGraw, known as Dr Phil, who before he became America's psychologist was doing trail sciences and it's been extraordinary to hear some of those stories, and he's got thousands of them.. and to have Steven Spielberg put his name in the show.. I mean it's been a magic ride and I am excited."
Weatherly returns to CBS as the iconoclastic Dr. Jason Bull—brilliant, brash and charming, he's the ultimate puppet master combining psychology, intuition and high tech data to learn what makes jurors and the accused tick.
The cast includes actor Freddy Rodriguez as Benny, Bull's former brother-in-law and lawyer; Geneva Carr as Marissa, a psychologist, neurolinguistics expert and licensed sex therapist; Chris Jackson as Chunk, a stylist on the team who helps prepare defendants for trial. The series will premiere on 20 September at 9pm EST on the network.
