Guess which show veterans are returning to Dancing With The Stars
The official line-up for DWTS will be announced on Good Morning America on 30 August.
Julianne Hough and her brother Derek have made a name for themselves on the popular talent contest Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) and now, it looks like the siblings are going to return to the show for season 23. Sources revealed that the Houghs were both heading to the dance floor, Derek as a pro and Julianne as a judge.
The 28-year-old actress served as a judge from season 19 to season 21, prior to which she also appeared on the show as a professional dancer from season 4 to 8. Her 31-year-old brother on the other hand has won six Mirrorball Trophies, including his latest with Bindi Irwin in season 21 and was a fan favourite in the 16 seasons he has performed on the show.
The co-host of TV Therapy had earlier told E! that he would never totally shelf the idea of a return to the dance show. "I'm not one for closing chapters in that way, especially for something that's so important to me, and that's been like family for so many years," he said while promoting Hairspray Live! at NBC's TCA red carpet. "So, for me in my mind, that door is always open, and we'll see!"
Julianne, too, hinted at the chance of a return to the show. "I promise it's not the last you'll see of me in the ballroom," Hough said following her departure from the show after season 21. "I will miss being on the panel for season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing."
The Houghs are not the only siblings making their way to DWTS. Pros Maksim and Val Chmerkovskiy will also be returning to the show. 'Maks' had earlier taken a four-season break from the show but is excited about his return. "The last 12 years of my life had some sort of relationship to the show ... I just wanted this to continue ... the feeling and positivity," he said according to People Magazine.
The official line-up for DWTS will be announced on Good Morning America on 30 August and season 23 will premiere on Monday, 12 September at 8 pm on ABC.
