Gujarat Lions v Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL 2017 match 3: How to watch live on TV, mobile and online in the UK and abroad
Gujarat Lions host KKR in their first match of the IPL 2017 on Friday.
Gujarat Lions will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the third match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 scheduled between the two franchises at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot, on Friday, 7 April.
Gujarat Lions joined the IPL in 2016 and had a successful campaign in their debut season. Under the guidance of Suresh Raina, they finished on top of the table after winning nine of their 14 group stage fixtures.
The Lions, however, suffered defeats in the Qualifier and Eliminator 2 that forced them to miss out on a place in last year's final. They lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore and eventual champions Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively.
Gujarat have an explosive batting lineup that includes the likes of Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Smith, Raina, Aaron Finch and Dinesh Karthik. They also have a balanced bowling attack, led by Praveen Kumar and James Faulkner.
Kolkata Knight Riders have won the IPL on two occasions in the past and currently hold the joint record with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings for winning the tournament twice.
The Knight Riders will be looking to create history by becoming the first team to win the IPL for the third time this year.
