Gwen Stefani fears tour might lead to split from Blake Shelton
Ex-No Doubt singer is said to be having 'trust issues' and fears time apart might create distance between couple.
Gwen Stefani is reportedly worried about spending too much time apart from Blake Shelton while she is on tour. The singer fears that the separation might create problems in their blossoming relationship.
According to OK! magazine a source said: "Gwen is worried about the idea of spending so much time apart. She's afraid it's going to blow up their romance," adding that Stefani "wants to keep an eye on Blake."
Stefani has invited Shelton to support her on tour but he"doesn't want to be her sidekick for two months," the report added
However, Gossip Cop reported that the magazine's claims of alleged trust issues between the couple are "false."
It was earlier reported that the relationship hit a wall after Stefani turned down Shelton's marriage proposal. The 39-year-old country singer/songwriter is rumoured to have proposed the Hollaback Girl singer with a $1.2m (£821,000) diamond ring.
"Gwen was very touched, but [told Blake] she had to wait [for marriage] to make sure it was right for the kids," a source told Radar Online.
The Voice coach's relationship with Stefani began seven months back, when both the singers were going through a rough patch in their respective marriages. Within weeks of Shelton divorcing his then wife Miranda Lambert in July last year, Stefani too announced the news of her split from her then husband, Gavin Rossdale.
In an interview with Country Countdown USA last month, the 40-year-old country singer said that it was impossible to keep the relationship under wraps given the Hollaback Girl singer's global fame.
"I found out — because it wasn't someone from my hometown, it was Gwen Stefani that I was beginning to have this relationship with — there was no hiding it," he said. "If I glance her way, it's the cover of magazines. If I could have kept my personal life private, I would have. Since I can't, I might as well let people in on the truth."
The country singer has credited Stefani with changing his life for the better. "Gwen saved my life last year. It's not something anybody could've seen coming besides God I guess because it doesn't look like it would make sense... It just makes the most perfect sense for us and where we're at in our lives."
