Halo 5 player uses Forge mode to make Millennium Falcon, Shadow Moses and Peach's Castle
Halo 5: Guardians' free Forge mode went live in mid-December and already players are creating some cool new maps. Some have entered the multiplayer rotation, but we suspect these maps – including one based on the Millennium Falcon – won't be.
The cool creations come from Redditor Bearskopff, who share pictures of his creations on image-sharing website Imgur. Using Forge mode he recreated Princess Peach's castle from Super Mario 64, a portion of the Shadow Moses facility from Metal Gear Solid, and from Star Wars, the Death Star's hangar bay, the Battle of Hoth and the Millennium Falcon.
On Reddit, the creator of the maps spoke about making Peach's castle: "I was feeling nostalgic so decided to try and recreate the infamous castle from Super Mario 64 in Halo 5 Forge. Had quite a bit of fun and as many headaches trying to piece it all together but am pretty pleased with the final result - hope you are too!"
Bearskopff also said that every brick of the castle is an individual object and that he "was very keen to simulate the geometry found in the original game." He wanted to replicate the entirety of the iconic level but there's a limit on the number of objects that can be used in a single map (1024, the map uses 1023).
