Handcuffed teen saves life of police officer having a heart attack
A handcuffed teen came to the rescue of the police officer who arrested him, after he began suffering from a heart attack in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In the CCTV footage released by Fort Lauderdale Police, officer Franklin Faulks can be seen processing teenager Jamal Rutledge at the police booking facility, before he suddenly collapses to the floor and lies semi-conscious on the ground.
The teen quickly responds by kicking the security gate, alerting other police officers to the emergency who subsequently rush in to administer CPR.
Foulks was then transported to the Broward Health Medical Center, where staff noted that Rutledge's actions and the quick response of the officers were largely responsible for Officer Foulks surviving this medical episode.
