Harry Styles will quit One Direction next, predicts director Morgan Spurlock
Morgan Spurlock has predicted that Harry Styles will follow in Zayn Malik's footsteps, and will leave One Direction next.
After five years with the group, the 22-year-old singer announced he is quitting the British boyband last month.
During an interview with TMZ, Spurlock who directed the band's 2013 documentary film, One Direction: This Is Us, said he feels Styles will venture out on a solo career soon.
"I think they'll stay together for a little bit longer and then I think at some point Harry will probably leave," he said. "I think that Niall and Louis and [Liam], I think that the three of those guys are going to become like the new Bel Biv Devoe."
"I think all those guys together were fantastic, they had something special but you can't fault Zayn for wanting to leave, people have to make their own decisions in life."
"I think Zayn is probably the most talented guy in the group, he's an incredible singer, all of them are talented singers but to make the decision to want to leave and go off on your own and chase a solo career in the midst of being as successful and as famous as you are, you can't fault someone for that," Spurlock said.
Meanwhile, during an interview with Irish radio station RTE Radio One, X Factor judge Louis Walsh admitted he knew the band was having issues for some time.
"I have heard the rumours for the last few weeks that everything wasn't happy in paradise," he said.
"The problem with these guys is they've been in a bubble for the last five years, pressure, working, a lot harder than people think, so something had to give. So Zayn was the first person just to crack up a little bit."
"He's had an amazing time with the other guys. That's the good side of it. The dark side of it is all the travelling, the airports, in a bubble, not really seeing real life," Walsh added.
