Hart of Dixie cancelled after season 4? Network president talks of a 'great finale' amid series ending rumours [VIDEO]
The CW announced early renewals for eight of their shows, including, Arrow, Jane The Virgin, The Flash, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and The Originals.
The series that was left out was Hart of Dixie, which is rumored to be in its final season.
CW president Mark Pedowitz told Entertainment Weekly that a decision hasn't been taken as yet about the show's future.
Hart of Dixie is "not necessarily" cancelled Pedowitz said, adding "We're going to look at the ratings."
"We'll get an opportunity to see how it plays with Jane the Virgin. If it ends, [this season is] a great series finale; if it doesn't end, it's a great season finale. But we're not committed one way or another," he said.
The show is currently in its fourth season, which was renewed for only 10 episodes.
The reason for a short season was said to be Rachel Bilson's pregnancy while filming. The lead actress went on maternity leave and the series had to be cut short.
Meanwhile, another trailer for the second episode of season 4 was released by The CW.
The upcoming episode is titled, The Curling Iron, which will air tomorrow, 16 January.
The promo shows Zoe in a depressed state, after she finds out that she is pregnant. Annabeth, Crickett and Rose are trying to help Zoe cope with the news.
"Zoe, this is a big thing to handle," says Annabeth in the promo.
Rose says, "Are you going to tell him that you are having his baby?"
Zoe replies, "Think about how he is going to react, when I tell him that his life is going to be turned upside down?"
The last scene cuts to Zoe telling Wade, "There is something I need to tell you."
In another promo video titled Inside: The Curling Iron, showrunner Leila Gerstein explains the future of Wade and Zoe's baby and Lemon's confusing love life.
