T-mobile has released the list of Samsung devices that are ready to receive the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update. Although the exact date of seeding the update to each device is not yet known, the operator has listed devices for which the process of initiation for these upgrades have been completed and they should soon receive the update.
The list as provided by the company follows:
- Samsung Galaxy S6
- Samsung Galaxy S6 edge
- Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+
- Samsung Galaxy S7
- Samsung Galaxy S7 edge
- Samsung Galaxy Note 5
- Samsung Galaxy Note 7
As expected the Galaxy S5 series and the Note 4 has been left out of the update list. It is possible that they may be included in the update list later as this is just the first list revealed by the company for the Android Nougat update.
Other than Samsung the company has also revealed that two HTC manufactured models - HTC 10 and HTC One M9 that are also in the race to get the update. Although HTC has released its own list of eligible devices slated to get the update, most users in US for HTC are connected to networks like T-Mobile that issue these updates.
Once the update is available, your device will provide a notification that the update is available with direction on how to download it. Consumers do not need to contact T-Mobile or the manufacturer for the latest Android Nougat update.
