Hertha Berlin keen on signing Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry when he returns from Rio 2016

Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin are keen to sign Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry on loan for the 2016-17 season. Gnabry's progress stalled last season after joining West Brom on a temporary deal for the first half of the 2015-16 campaign, where he was limited to just 12 minutes of first-team football for the Baggies.

But having been selected for Germany's Olympics squad this summer, the winger is back on track with a campaign that has seen him score six goals in just four games for his country in Brazil so far.

Whether Gnabry returns to north London to compete for a first-team role at Arsenal remains to be seen. But he is unlikely to have a shortage of offers should another loan aspell wait, with Hertha eager to place themselves as the front of the queue.

"Serge is the prototype of the player we need. Let's see what the next few days bring," Hertha head coach Pal Dardai was quoted as saying by Bild.

With Gnabry seemingly on his way out, Arsenal have allowed another youngster to leave the club on a temporary deal. The Gunners have today (17 August) confirmed fullback Tafari Moore has left to join Dutch side FC Utrecht on loan for the 2016-17 campaign. He joins fellow Gunners youngster Stefan O'Connor in Netherlands with the 19-year-old spending the season at MVV Maastrich.

Among Arsenal's other outing loan deals are Wojciech Szczęsny, who has returned to Roma, and Jon Toral, who will spend the season at Granada.

Julio Pleguezuelo and Dan Crowley have also left the club to join Mallorca and Oxford United respectively.

Moore, 19, made a total of 15 appearances for the under-21s last season and played a further three times in the UEFA Youth League for the under-19s.
