How Kaley Cuoco found love after bitter divorce: Inside Big Bang Theory star's life with fiancé Karl
Cuoco and Cook's relationship took off almost immediately after they met at a horse show back in 2016.
Kaley Cuoco finally found her happily ever after in fiancé Karl Cook, but the road to her true love wasn't easy. Previously, The Big Bang Theory actress was married to former tennis player Ryan Sweeting, but the couple went through very bitter and public divorce in 2015.
The Penny actress got engaged to Sweeting in September 2013 — just three months after they were first spotted together. The couple tied the knot on 31 December 2013 at a fire-and-ice-themed wedding but later called it quits in 2015. Cuoco and Sweeting's divorce was finalised in May 2016.
So how did she manage her difficult breakup and find love once again?
According to a People magazine report, despite the sudden end to their 21 months marriage, the 32-year-old star never gave up hope on finding love.
A source told the publication: "From the beginning, Kaley was crazy about Karl. They have so much in common and he makes her so happy. She went through such a tough time with her divorce from Ryan, but she never gave up on finding love again."
"She's really a romantic!" said the insider and added, "She can't wait to get married — they're both so excited and happy."
The professional equestrian shared some insight into his engaged life with Cuoco by sharing a video of them giggling on Instagram. He captioned the clip saying, "Anyone wondering what engaged life is like with @normancook? Well, it's pure passion and deep emotional bonding. "
Cook concluded by adding, "It's all I could have ever wanted. I never knew pulling nose hairs would be such a beautiful bonding experience."
Cuoco and Cook's relationship took off almost immediately after they met at a horse show back in 2016.
She said during an appearance on CBS This Morning in May 2016: "Even when I was going through [my divorce], I was like, 'Oh, I'm never going to love again' — I can't even pretend to say that, 'cause it's not me. It's not my heart. I know that's not me, and I know I will again. And I've actually never been happier."
The CBS star had said back then, "I'm excited to see what the future holds. I have to say, I'm happier than I've ever been. There are just special people in my life now, and the show is doing great and I've got my horses."
